Two quick checks before posting: try clearing your browser cache, and press SHIFT+O on any Staff Panel page to enter Safe Mode (a stock osTicket with no enhancements). If the problem still shows in Safe Mode, it's in osTicket itself, not osTicket Awesome. But let us know about the issue either way.

There used to be a popup that would state "Loading" and disabled the ticket page. This is not present in the OSticket Awesome version that we have. This enables the user to hit the "Create Ticket" button several times. Each time that the button is hit, it creates a ticket. If it takes longer than a few seconds, most users are hitting it again causing several duplicate tickets in our system.
I haven't run into this but it sounds frustrating. I will look into it.
I was just able to recreate this in the demo system on your site. I think that if there was a way to re-enable the loading pop-up, it would take care of this issue.
@jschrader@myios.com,
Thank you for taking the time to report this and to look into it further.
Your suggestion is likely valid. I do not recall disabling the loading popup, but perhaps it got accidentally disabled through some other change.
Unfortunately, I cannot honestly say that I will have the time to look into this for the next week or two. But it is on my list!
Do you know where the loading page would be in the php or css files? I have a development system that I can play around with.
Is the loading animation missing when your Clients open a ticket, or your Staff, or both?
I think the HTML code for the Staff side loading animation appears in \include\staff\footer.php, line 18.
At this moment I have no idea about the Client side.
I do recall this being a tricky function to manipulate. I think it may also rely on a JQurey dependency.
I'm sorry I cannot be more help at this time.
It does not look like it is in the HTML. There is no loading pop-up that displays. I am attaching links to 2 links that show this.
1.This is in your demo system:

2.This is in our system. I clicked the button 3 times and it created 3 tickets:

I have had this same issue it would nice if could have a "loading please wait" box.
The standard osticket has this, I think that by changing other things, it might have removed it.
I am noticing that the "Please Wait" prompt when logging in is not displaying at all either.
I can confirm new 1.10.5 v.1.0 the loading notification is gone. I keep getting duplicate tickets from end users clicking "create ticket" more than once.
Has there been any update on this?
Truthfully, I am still struggling with this one.
I understand what the issue is but I haven't figured out a resolution (yet).
I am working very hard to get some new releases for 1.11.x out the door and then this will become my top priority to resolve.
Thank you for your patience on this guys.
We just recently updated to 1.11 so we are do not have this implemented at the moment.
If you're interested, I just released osTicket-Awesome-1.11-v1.0.
Funny enough, v1.11 has fixed this issue by disabling the open button on click.
This will be fixed in the next release (osTicket-Awesome-1.11-v1.1), which should be available by the end of April.
Thank you for your patience!
