Does my server qualify?
osTicket Awesome is built on top of osTicket — the same codebase, the same stack, the same database. If osTicket runs on your server, osTicket Awesome will too. Here’s exactly what you need.
Requirements
| Requirement | osTicket | osTicket Awesome |
|---|---|---|
| Web server | Apache or Microsoft IIS | ✓ Same |
| PHP | 8.2, 8.3, or 8.4 | ✓ Same |
| PHP extension | mysqli | ✓ Same |
| Database | MySQL 5.5+ or MariaDB | ✓ Same |
| Operating system | Linux or Windows Server | ✓ Same |
| Database changes | Standard osTicket schema | ✓ Same |
Notes
Web server: osTicket does not officially support nginx or LiteSpeed. Running either can produce unexpected results. Apache is the most common choice and the one we test against.
PHP: osTicket 1.18.x requires PHP 8.2 or higher. PHP 8.1 is no longer supported as of the 1.18.3 release. We recommend the latest stable 8.x release your host provides.
Database: MySQL 8.0 is recommended for new installations. MariaDB works well and is the default on many Linux hosts.
Hosting panel: cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, and most other control panels are supported. If you can create a MySQL database and point a domain at a PHP directory, you’re set.

Supported browsers
osTicket Awesome supports every major browser on desktop and mobile — the same ones your staff and customers already use: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.
The Client Portal works on any screen 295px wide or larger, including older smartphones.
Supported plugins
All official osTicket plugins are supported and bundled with osTicket Awesome: Attachments on Amazon S3, Attachments on the Filesystem, Attachment Preview, Audit Log, Google Authenticator 2FA, Help Desk Audit, HTTP Passthru Authentication, LDAP and Active Directory, OAuth2 (Microsoft, Google, etc.), and Password Management Policies.
No extra configuration needed — install and activate the ones you want from Admin Panel → Manage → Plugins.
