For over a decade, osTicket Awesome has tracked every upstream osTicket release within days, while steadily building out its own features and refinements that go well beyond stock osTicket.

- NEW The Theme Options page is now osAwesome Settings, with the eight tabs reorganized so each one has a coherent reason to exist. License is now the front door for unactivated installs (and slides to the last position permanently after first activation). Tabs are now: License · Branding · Login Page · Appearance · Behavior · Custom CSS · Diagnostics · About.
- NEW The color theme palette has grown to 20 presets, each with a name so you can refer to it in support conversations: Pacific, Stone, Cobalt Sea, Rose, Desert Journey, Sky, Forest, Steel, Ivory Dreams, Cozy Earth, Moonlit Ocean (the new default), Ocean Breeze, Pastel Dreamland, Pastel Kingdom, Beach Retreat, Sandy Beach, Serene Blue Sky, Sunrise Glow, Ocean Pearl, and Cotton Candy. Header Background and Login Background each replaced their double-toggle with a single segmented radio so one option is always selected.
- NEW Header & Mobile text overlays (Header Title, Header Subtitle, Mobile Text, Mobile Link) moved into the Branding tab where they belong. Customer-facing toggles (Cookie Consent, Scroll to Top), tools (Copy System Info, Get Support, Keyboard Shortcuts), and diagnostics (Show PHP Errors, Compare with vanilla osTicket) consolidated into the new Behavior tab.
- NEW The Branding tab now includes a gallery of bundled example logos alongside your own uploads. Pick one to preview how a logo sits in the header without uploading anything; your own uploads appear below them. Selecting any logo — bundled or your own — deselects the others, so exactly one logo is active per portal (staff and client are set independently).
- UPDATE Internet Explorer redirection has been retired. The toggle and its redirect are gone (IE has been end-of-life since June 2022), and the stored setting is cleaned up automatically on upgrade.
- UPDATE The agent Dark Mode toggle moved from the Agent Profile page to osAwesome Settings > Behavior. It remains per-agent — each agent turns Dark Mode on for their own session.
- NEW Soft license gating on the customization tabs. Unactivated installs see a persistent activation notice atop each tab and a subtle dim on the customization controls. The product stays fully functional in either state — this is signage, not enforcement.
- NEW License UX v2 Tier 3) explanation panel with common causes instead of a silent reject. success or surfacing real errors instead of failing silently. link), a proper confirmation dialog, and only flips state on a confirmed server response. plan upgrade, and downgrade-overage notices when applicable. panel to Offline. - NEW PJAX restored for snappier admin navigation. Clicking between pages in the staff panel no longer triggers a full reload — only the content area swaps, with the header, footer, and navigation persisting. PJAX had been disabled in osTA for several years due to compatibility issues; those have been resolved.
- NEW Vertical scrollbar styling is now consistent across all browsers, with a stable gutter that prevents content from shifting as you navigate between pages of different heights.
- NEW The browser-tab favicon now matches your color theme automatically. Whichever theme you pick gets a checkmark tinted to its navigation-bar color, and custom color schemes you build yourself are covered too — no need to supply your own icon. It stays legible on both light and dark browser tab strips, and updates the moment you switch themes.
- NEW osAwesome translations are decoupled from osTicket's stock language packs. They live in their own files and layer cleanly on top of the standard packs, so you can update osTicket's language packs (or upgrade osTicket itself) without ever overwriting or losing the osAwesome translations. We no longer ship modified copies of the stock packs.
- NEW Language packs are back to the compact, signed .phar format. Because we no longer inject our own strings into the stock packs, each language ships as a single compressed archive — the same format osTicket distributes upstream — instead of roughly a hundred loose extracted files. The result is a smaller, tidier install whose packs stay byte-for-byte identical to osTicket's own.
- NOTE Most of the new osAwesome Settings translations are machine-generated and have not yet been reviewed by native speakers. Corrections from native speakers are very welcome and will be folded into future releases.
- FIX Several intermittent rendering issues on the osAwesome Settings page have been resolved (color pickers and the Custom CSS editor now initialize reliably; transient color-bar artifacts after visiting the page are cleaned up; the footer no longer disappears during navigation).
- FIX Fresh installs now correctly load the osTA-styled setup screen. This affected new installations only; existing customers using the upgrader were unaffected.
- FIX Corrected a long-standing translation error that could prevent the version line on the Settings page from displaying in Catalan and Finnish.
- FIX The Settings tab bar now stays on a single row in languages with longer labels (Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Russian and others), which previously could wrap the last tab onto a second line.

Earlier Releases (pre-2019)
osTicket Awesome was first released in 2016, originally as a responsive theme for osTicket. Early releases predate the structured changelog format and are not listed here individually. The product has been in continuous development since its inception.
